The Jazz
This type of genre is based on the fusion of the African culture with the European culture, it is the combination between the dances of African slaves and the protestant religious music of the European communities, from this type of mixture was born the spiritual song in the XVII century, then the Gospel in the decade of 1930 which is based on a question-answer, delivering a spontaneity of the musical message.
Another important element is the Blues, which consists of the singing of a single person that reflects sadness or laments in its interpretation. Its musical base is the combination of traditional west African muisca, Arabic elements and European harmony. And finally the Boogie-woogie will appear which is a style similar to the Blues but faster to dance.
As we can see, Jazz derives from very unpleasant situations suffered by people of African and European culture in the nineteenth century, all kinds of music has its dark roots, but it evolved to such a level that now has a great influence on both cultured and popular music.
